CHARITY PARTNERS

We have carefully selected three charities, who we feel demonstrate high levels of care, expertise and creativity in their working practices in the field of animal welfare.
Each charity, will receive a percentage of profits, from the sale of merchandise through Pups and Paws Prevention C.I.C.
100 per cent of our profits are donated to our charity partners.

Members of the public have asked how we can be confident that the funds we are working hard to raise through sales of our merchandise are being used properly and effectively by the organisations we support. This is a brilliant point.

Happy Landings Animal Rescue are a UK registered charity, operating since 1983 with superb reviews. I am in contact with a member of their Trustee Board, Kate Lovell to discuss their work. Kate and the Trustees have legal oversight to ensure any donations are used appropriately. I will be arranging a visit to their base in Somerset this year to discuss how our funds will be spent.

Pennypaws Rescue Romania to UK  have enabled us to meet their
Founder more than once, Gill Jenness. We have adopted two dogs ourselves through this charity. The charity is also registered with the charity commission and we are in contact with the trustees. The charity is entirely led by volunteers. Every penny of our donations are directed towards the care/transport/sterilisation of the dogs. We will be attending a spay/neutering event in Romania in May 2025 with Pennypaws and 2gether4strays e.V. Seeing directly, in person, how any donations are being used.

The Gunjur Dog Patrol is run by an ethical tourism company and eco-lodge in The Gambia. We have visited the Gunjur region ourselves and have contacts in the area. We will be visiting Gunjur in late 2025 and have been offered the opportunity to shadow the dog patrol for the morning and trace how our donations are being used. We are also in direct contact with the Founders.

In honour of Linda Crowhurst, (refer to the website page Our Volunteer Contributors), we are also excited to announce that in in 2025 we will be running some special events on behalf of the Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital and Sanctuary in Cornwall. We look forward to a forthcoming meeting regarding Pups and Paws supports Feathers and Claws. So watch this space!

We have also started to donate funds from plant 🪴 cutting sales to the Pawsitive Pet Foodbank in Falmouth, Cornwall.  Working to end pet poverty.

We try and sell all non-plastic items across the South-West in order to honour the importance of protecting our oceans. This is especially important to the local people of Cornwall. Plastic pollution is a serious threat to the environment and wildlife. And Cornwall has many beaches, a long coastline and seabirds and maritime wildlife.
